WHAT IS MOLD?The term “mold” refers to various types of fungi and microorganisms such as bacteria and spores that thrive and develop particularly well in humid environments. CAUSES OF MOLD GROWTHMold can be caused by condensation. Most often, the reason is the so-called “thermal bridge” — the presence of “external” walls, concrete columns, ground floors, and bathrooms. Mold forms under these conditions and colonizes when humidity levels are high.
